Encaustic Mixed Media

Encaustic is an ancient beeswax based, fine art painting medium. PmC works primarily in oils with encaustic, incorporating mixed media, found objects, electronics and text into small and large scale works on various substrates, in a variety of shapes. Hot wax, variously textured, is worked in many layers to wicked cool luminosity and depth. Pieces take hours to years of elapsed time to complete and are as stable as vinyl records or other fine art (please don’t leave vinyl, pets or Casu Marzu in a non air-conditioned car). Of course, ultimately all is impermanent — that means you and me too.
